Cesar Lopez
LMHC-A
Cesar is a bilingual mental health counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health, behavioral, and psychosocial needs across outpatient, residential, and community-based settings. He holds Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rhode Island College. Cesar is also bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing him to provide more accessible and culturally competent care to diverse populations.
Cesar has nearly a decade of experience working in the behavioral health field, including outpatient, residential, and community-based roles serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, emotional dysregulation, housing instability, and developmental and physical disabilities. He most recently worked as an ACT II Case Manager in an outpatient level of care, where he provided clinical case management, conducted person-centered assessments, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to support long-term recovery and stabilization. In addition to his clinical experience, Cesar proudly served on active duty in the United States Army as an Aviation Operations Specialist. His military background has strengthened his discipline, adaptability, leadership skills, and understanding of the unique stressors that can impact veterans, service members, and their families.
This lived experience allows him to approach treatment with a deeper appreciation for resilience, trauma, identity transitions, and the importance of trust within the therapeutic relationship. Cesar’s therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered care. As a clinician, Cesar strives to create a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
