Claritza is licensed in Rhode Island as a independent clinical social worker.  She serves as a clinical supervisor for staff at Diversity Counseling.  Having graduated from Rhode Island College with a Master of Social Work with graduate certification in Integrated Behavioral Health Care and certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive

Behavioral Therapy, her approach to helping clients struggling with mental health disorders is based on her previous experience with and trauma informed care. 

As a bilingual therapist, Claritza has five years of experience in diagnosis, crisis intervention, and counseling utilizing biopsychosocial methods within a therapeutic relationship to help bilingual clients achieve a higher level of functioning.

Claritza also draws from previous experience as a life skills coach and therapeutic mentor to help client's reach their goals for treatment by addressing communication, daily living, and social needs.
